Satyagraha Yoga
( सत्याग्रह योग )
"Truth (Satya) implies love, and firmness (Agraha) engenders and therefore serves as a synonym for force. I thus began to call the Indian movement Satyagraha, that is to say, the Force which is born of Truth and Love or non-violence” - Gandhi
Satyagraha (सत्याग्रह), which means holding firming to truth, is the non-violent method used by Gandhi in the Indian Independence Movement.
Gandhi was a Yogi as well as an Activist, same with Jesus, and same with Buddha. These cool Satyagrahis/Sheros/Heros not only stood up against what is going on wrong in society but were spiritual seekers of higher truth. They understood that their inner peace is dependent on the harmony of the environment around them — and — harmony of the environment around them is dependent on their inner peace.
The time has come for all of us to become cool Satyagrahis, to stand up for the truth(Satya), and firmly hold the truth (Satyagraha). To firmly hold the truth that we are spiritual beings in the human body. To firmly hold the truth, that we are inseparable from all the plants, animals, and Mother Earth and we cannot have happiness in our hearts without happiness in their hearts. To be cool Satyagrahis to stop Mother Earth from dying and to stop mass Ecocide of wiping up of entire species of plants and animals.
At Satyagraha Yoga School we not only give tools, to students to develop inner peace but also give tools to take care of Mother Earth. At Satyagraha we empower the students with ancient wisdom tools to become Eco-Yogis, custodians of Mother Earth (The only planet we call Home).
